Day 7 - Tentena to Ampana
We headed out to a highland area to the west of Tentena where the road took us up to an altitude of 1800m high thatis perfect for orchids and Nepenthes. There we found a large number of Nepenthes glabrata and Nepenthes maxima "Robust wavy leaved" plants as well as Nepenthes nigra for the first time. A natural hybrid between N. maxima and N. nigra was also found along with Arundina graminifolia, Bulbophyllum sororculum, Calanthe hyacinthine, Coelogyne prasina, Mediocalcar paradoxum and a Pinalia species in flower.
